How to cancel Zendesk
Zendesk subscriptions auto-renew and cancel from the Admin Center — but only account owners can do it, and annual plans require doing it before the renewal date.
Quick answer
zendesk.com/login — log in and follow the steps below. Cancelling takes about five minutes.
Step-by-step
- As the account owner, open Admin Center → Account → Billing → Subscription.
- Click Manage → Cancel subscription (on some plans this opens a support request).
- Confirm the cancellation and note the end-of-term date.
- Export tickets and customer data via the admin data export tools first.
What happens after you cancel
Access ends at the term date and data is scheduled for deletion after a grace period — export before, not after.
Worth knowing
- Cancelling mid-term doesn't refund the remainder; it stops the auto-renewal.
What the charge looks like
Zendesk typically bills $19–$500 per month, and its renewal emails come from zendesk.com. BeforeItBills detects those emails automatically and warns you 7 days before each charge — so the next renewal never sneaks past you.
