How to cancel Super Duolingo
Most Super Duolingo subscriptions are billed through the App Store or Google Play, not Duolingo itself — so the cancel button is usually in your phone's settings, not the app.
Quick answer
duolingo.com/settings/super — log in and follow the steps below. Cancelling takes about five minutes.
Step-by-step
- Check where you're billed: iPhone → Settings → your name → Subscriptions; Android → Play Store → profile → Payments & subscriptions.
- Find Duolingo in the list and tap Cancel subscription.
- Subscribed on the web? Log in at duolingo.com → Settings → Super Duolingo → Cancel.
- Confirm — Super stays active until the end of the paid period.
What happens after you cancel
You keep your streak, league history, and progress; you lose unlimited hearts and the ad-free experience when the period ends.
Worth knowing
- Family plan members can't cancel individually — only the plan owner can cancel the whole plan.
- Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription (true for every app-store subscription).
What the charge looks like
Super Duolingo typically bills $6–$20 per month, and its renewal emails come from duolingo.com. BeforeItBills detects those emails automatically and warns you 7 days before each charge — so the next renewal never sneaks past you.
Stop finding out after the charge.
BeforeItBills scans your inbox and warns you 7 days before any subscription bills you. No bank connection — free on iOS.
