How to cancel Datadog
Datadog is committed-contract SaaS: monthly on-demand plans can be downgraded in-app, but annual commitments require going through your account manager or support before the renewal date.

- Check your plan type under Plan & Usage in the Datadog app.
- On-demand (month-to-month): reduce committed hosts or downgrade to the Free tier from Plan settings.
- Annual contract: email your account manager or success@datadoghq.com requesting non-renewal, before the notice deadline in your order form.
- Remove or stop agents on hosts you no longer want monitored — usage-based products keep billing while data flows.

Data retention follows your plan's window; dashboards and configs survive on the Free tier (up to 5 hosts).
