Cancel guides
How to cancel Audible
Audible's cancel flow only exists on the desktop website — not in the app, and the mobile site redirects you. Plan around your credits before you cancel, because unused credits disappear.
Quick answer
audible.com/account/overview — log in and follow the steps below. Cancelling takes about five minutes.
Step-by-step
- On a desktop browser, sign in at audible.com (request the desktop site if you're on a phone).
- Open Account details from the profile menu.
- Under your membership, click Cancel membership.
- Continue past the offers (often a discounted pause) and confirm.
What happens after you cancel
Audiobooks you bought are yours forever, even with no membership. Unused credits are forfeited when the membership ends — spend them first.
Worth knowing
- Audible usually offers a pause (up to 3 months) during the cancel flow — useful if you have a credit backlog.
- Subscribed through iTunes? Cancel via iOS Settings → Subscriptions instead.
What the charge looks like
Audible typically bills $7–$25 per month, and its renewal emails come from audible.com. BeforeItBills detects those emails automatically and warns you 7 days before each charge — so the next renewal never sneaks past you.
Stop finding out after the charge.
BeforeItBills scans your inbox and warns you 7 days before any subscription bills you. No bank connection — free on iOS.
