Terms of Service

1. The service

BeforeItBills is a subscription tracking tool that connects to your Gmail account with read-only access to identify upcoming billing charges. The Service is currently in early beta. Features, availability, and pricing may change without notice.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By using it, you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

3. Google account access

The Service requests read-only access to your Gmail account via Google OAuth. By granting access, you authorise us to read emails for the purpose of detecting subscription billing information. You can revoke this access at any time via your Google Account permissions. Revocation does not automatically delete your BeforeItBills account — to delete your data, contact privacy@beforeitbills.com.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Service
• Use the Service to process data belonging to another person without their consent
• Circumvent any rate limits, access controls, or security measures
• Submit false or misleading information

5. Pricing and billing

The Service is free during the beta period. When paid plans are introduced, we will notify existing users at least 14 days in advance. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance of the pricing terms.

Early access users may be eligible for discounted pricing. Any such discounts will be communicated directly and are non-transferable.

6. Accuracy and limitations

BeforeItBills detects subscriptions based on patterns in your email. We do not guarantee that all subscriptions will be detected, that amounts shown are current, or that charge dates are exact. The Service is an informational tool — you remain responsible for managing your own subscriptions and finances.

We are not a financial adviser, accountant, or bank. Nothing in the Service constitutes financial advice.

7. Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be suspended for maintenance, updates, or unforeseen issues. We are not liable for any losses arising from downtime.

8. Intellectual property

All content, branding, and software in the Service is owned by BeforeItBills or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute it without written permission.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion, with or without notice. You may stop using the Service at any time and request deletion of your data at privacy@beforeitbills.com.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BeforeItBills shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, revenue, or profit, arising from your use of the Service.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
